They're both not the best, but the original one uses the Y to make a box, how neat. The new logo has been pretty controversial in the design world and with the company.

This was from a Russian Designer, I couldn't read the info on it but it was very close to the expressive type that we are doing in class. I will look for another one with more info on it.

Post for Week 3 & 4

ARTC 2303,

Good job on your first posts for our blog.

BLOG ASSIGNMENT Week 3 & 4:
Post up an image of type being used expressively as we are with our current project. Posters, Ads, Bookcovers, CDs, etc. If you google search "expressive type" you end up with school projects similar to ours. I do not want those! I would like real samples from real designers.

Included in your post: Client Name/Design Firm (Designer)/Year if possible
Add the labels "expressive type" & "class time". Remember to add a comma between the words.

This will take some time to find. It may be best to approach this by physically scanning in an image from a book or magazine you find.
