Claypool - Helvetica

My name is Olivia and I am a ComDes major and a junior at Texas State University. I have lived my entire life in Austin up until I moved to attend my freshman year of college in San Marcos. I guess one could say that I am the adventurous type when it comes to leaving my comfort zone. Though San Marcos is still considered in the greater Austin area I find it's location to be a good balance between the hubbub of the city and the charm and intimacy of a small town. I've always enjoyed thinking creatively and it seems to work out quite well because anything regarding extensive use of numbers is far from my forte.

Thinking of my favorite type face at the moment is turning out to be somewhat of a daunting process. It tends to change quite frequently depending on my mindset or the mood I'm attempting to convey through text and type. After spending quite a bit of time working on arts and crafts this past weekend where I was asked to write in cutsey, girly handwriting on a large scale I find myself leaning towards Helvetica as of this Monday morning. I choose Helvetica because its weight, proportions and being a san serif font make it, for lack of a better word, unemotional allowing it to be versatile and commercial.
