Boothby-51st grammy awards(expressive type)


The expressive type posters I found were from the 51st Grammy Awards on Fbruary 8, 2009. The campaign was titled "Music Makes Us," which included a series of 7 ads of America's most famous singers and songwriters. The musical artists were told to compose a list of the 15 musicians and/or songs that have inspired them. The award winning agency TBWAchiat/Day grabbed their top typographic designers who then collaborated the lists of 15 to create a portrait of the 7 artists, hence the title "Music Makes Us." The unique and visually appealing ads draw from the insight that music influences and inspires everyone, thus marketing the award show to a wider audience.
