The compositions for the two are different from one another, the apple seems typical to a com des student and the hand is more of a personal experience. The apple is something that many could relate to the hand seems to describe you more personally. What does the bold words do with all the light words? Could the words blend more to make either the hand or the apple 3 dimensional? The hand is much more stronger, but it needs to be more apparent of its shape. The outline of the hand could be bold. The space between the hands could help in making out the shape; also you could maybe place words along wrinkles or fingernails of a hand such as on fingers and thumbs. Work more on the top one, for it seems to connect to you a little better. What about a background for the hand? Where do you normally pray? Do you pray on your bed or anywhere at home, maybe put a bed or pillow to show depth? Work on the placement of the words to flow with hand and make apparent.
I can see that this is obviously an image based on religion and faith. This point is illustrated well. However, I do think that more elements could be added to make this composition more effective.. I think the hands need shading and more detail. Maybe you could use a darker, bold variation on font? Or possibly a background could be added for more depth? Maybe, if this is meant to be going in the direction of religion, there could be a possible cross? Or if praying hands are only for forgiveness of profanity then maybe illustrate that point. Example, (#@%*!). I think the apple design is okay. The words could be amped up in regards to making these words more expressive. The apple could also use more play on light, bold and condensed letters for better shading. I think the composition with the hands is the stronger of the two.
