This image is a representation of how my day is inundated with my request as a mother. I have three children ages 4, 10 and 13. Sometimes I just want to Roar!

ReplyDeleteLove it!
I like how your ROAR!! stands out so much in the Baskerville comp, but really love it in Universe!!!
Akiko,
ReplyDeleteWell, I don’t have to tell you that this is just down right AMAZING! This design is a very creative and unique concept. The realism in the face is extremely impressive. The fact that the face is made of letters moves this design up a step. I love the tension in the face. I can really feel your stress in this piece. I also like the headlines radiating from your head. The direction of the words really makes the face the focal point of the composition. I would choose the design with the San Serif font. The bold and blocked letters really scream….in a good way. The bold San Serif really creates stress and noise within the piece. The Serif type in the other design makes the words look more like your ideas rather than your EXCLAMATIONS!!!! Awesome job, Akiko!
So first off, you did an absolutely wonderful job on your comps. I can’t relate to how stressful your life is with a family, but I can imagine. I have no clue how you do it!!! Now if I had to choose, I’d choose the second one you did as my favorite. I’m glad you gave a difference in fonts because I can see why Baskerville won’t work as your font. Univers LT Std works very well with the feeling of being stressed… it almost reminds me of posters I’ve seen in the past. It gets right to the point and I can appreciate that a lot. After understanding what’s going on, I went on to read through to some of the smaller words. It’s really interesting what all goes on in your daily life! Unfortunately I have no real suggestions for you… I can see this took a good while; your attention to detail is really impressive! Great Job!
